INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR WORK:
This painting is rendered in professional artists’ acrylic on archival hand-stretched canvas over a pine frame. Artwork is ready to frame or hang as is gallery wrapped, (painted on all sides with D-rings and wire). It is protected by a layer of varnish as a non-removable isolation coat with excellent flexibility and chemical, water and UV resistance (ultraviolet light filters & stabilizers reduce light damage).
SIZE: 30.4 x 40.6cm (12 x 16in) with 3.5cm (1.4 in) deep edges
The canvas used has been individually crafted. It has been stretched by hand for optimum tension, with tailored corners and generous allowance of high quality canvas to allow for easy re-stretching. The professional stretcher bar system is made in New Zealand and features slot and tenon joints.
Archival quality acrylic paint with a high lightfastness grade of pigment has been used in this work. The lightfastness, (permanency of colour or resistance to fading) in the paints used are rated ASTM 1-2, which are of the highest gradings for archival paints. This rating is from ASTM International (The American Society of Testing Materials).
Your work is protected by a permanent, non-removable isolation coat, which serves to decrease the water sensitivity of the paint surface, affording protection during routine cleaning/dusting. Framing behind glass provides the ultimate protection for your work. It is still recommended that work be kept in a dry environment out of sunlight.
Display paintings in the cleanest, lowest traffic areas possible. Vacuum or mop these areas, rather than sweeping, to minimize airborne dusts.
Storage & Display
Minimize frequency of direct contact and exposure of acrylics to elevated temperature, especially in combination with dusty conditions; such areas may be near hot air inlets, in direct sunlight or attics. Varnished works may adhere to other surfaces if left in contact, particularly to other varnishes and plastics in hot environments.
